Halloween Tic-tac-toe: Mummies vs. Monsters
It’s mummies vs. monsters for an all-out game of tic-tac-toe! This Halloween-themed game is as fun to make as it is to play. Children will have a blast making different faces for their players, and when it’s game time, their strategic thinking skills are put to the tic-tac-toe test! Challenge the whole family to this make-and-play DIY… if they dare!
Let’s Get Started!
Create a 9-grid tic-tac-toe board with strips of tape.
Split up the pumpkins equally for each team. To make the mummies, wrap strips of gauze around each pumpkin and glue in place. Stick on googly eyes.
For monsters, clip off cotton swab ends and color them black with a marker. Bend a green pipe cleaner in the shape shown. Hot glue a swab so it sticks out on each end of the pipe cleaner.
Stick googly eyes on each monster and glue pipe cleaner above the eyes. Draw a mouth on the monster.
Now, you’re ready to play! The first player places their pumpkin in one of the spaces. Take turns placing pumpkins in a spot, building a strategy to get three in a row for the win.
